GTF FIRST BATCH OF STAKEHOLDER MEETING HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL

The newly elected Executives of the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) under the leadership of Mr. Isaac Aboagye Duah true to their words on Friday 1st November 2019 held its first batch of a series of stakeholder meeting intended to feed into a four year strategic plan of the governing body.

Close to 40 participants made up of Board members, representatives of players, coaches, officiating officials, wheelchair tennis and foundations attended the meeting which was undoubtedly a huge success.

The forum afforded the stakeholder bodies the opportunity to review the performance of the old board and to proffer ideas and solutions to address the challenges of tennis in the country. It was an open forum where each of the identifiable groups also submitted their programs for the year 2020 which will feed into drawing up of the 2020 tennis calendar for the country.

The Board is now expected to meet with representatives of Regional Tennis Associations, Chair Persons of Clubs in Ghana and the media to solicit for inputs into the four-year strategic plan which will be an endogenous blueprint to take Ghana Tennis to the next level.

Speaking to the President of the Ghana Tennis Federation Mr. Isaac Aboagye Duah after the meeting, Mr. Duah expressed great satisfaction at the turnout and the level of energy of the stakeholders and assured all concern that this administration is highly committed to a culture of inclusiveness, full disclosure and effective communication in order to deliver the highest dividend for the game, he further called on all stakeholders to embrace this opportunity to contribute their quota to the development of Tennis.
