Wheelchair Tennis Gaining National Momentum in Ghana

The Ghana Wheelchair Tennis as part of the 2019 ITF Wheelchair Tennis Development Fund Project in collaboration with the Ghana Tennis Federation launched Wheelchair Tennis Program at the Central Region of Ghana. NEWLY ELECTED BOARD OF THE GHANA TENNIS FEDERATION ON THE MOVE

The Ghana Tennis Federation on the 19 th of October, 2019 went to the polls to elect a President, Vice President and seven other members to constitute a Board to oversee the administration of tennis in Ghana for the next four years, from 2019 to 2023. The new executives that received the mandate of the delegate are as follows: President: Isaac Aboagye Duah Vice President: Kwame Djangba Board Members: Emmanuel Adu-Sarkodie, Jesse John Ato Des Bordes, Sampson Sayibu, Henry Boni-Quarshie, Dorcas Sowah, Ismaila Nii Lante Lamptey and Cedric Dzelu.   Exactly two days after coming into office, the newly elected Board went into action to set the ball rolling at its first meeting at the Accra City Hotel on 21 st October 2019. TOWARDS GTF ELECTION, THE ODDS AND THE PERSONALITIES

As we count down the days towards October 19th 2019 when the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) will be going to the polls to elect a President, Vice President and seven board members, details of those who have filed nominations are out. A record number of 20 people have filed for the position of board member with the usual two aspirants for the President and Vice President.  This portal has looked closely at the background of the candidates and spoken to some very seasoned stakeholders of the game as to who are likely to make the next administration of GTF. Below is what we got and we will not be surprised if it becomes the voice of the delegates after the election.
