WHERE PASSION CONNECTS WITH ROLE FOR IMPACT





There are days when you feel you have fulfilled your purpose here on Earth and that even if you should die at that moment you will consider a life well lived and meeting God's plans.

Yesterday was such a day for me when I met young people from The Gambia SOS center in the company of some delegates of the 3rd African Youth Commission Conference for a field visit.

Given a chance to speak to them I recounted how as a young boy I lost my parents and that it was sports that gave my life a meaning and put me on the path of progress, of how as a tennis ball boy my life has been totally transformed.

I then charged them to take the space very seriously to max out their daily engagement for it has all the potential to make them achieve every dream they have.

It was their feedbacks of how they welcomed my message and appreciated me profusely with those of them who had the chance to interact with me telling me they will want to be like me that makes me dare say I feel that I have fully lived my purpose here on Earth. That I am an example and inspiration to a generation.

Lord you can take me now if it pleases you but if you give me an additional day I shall continue to pour out myself for others.

CONGRATULATIONS TO NANA ODENEHO AMPONSAH FOR BEING ELECTED THE PRESIDENT OF THE GREATER ACCRA REGIONAL YMCA.

I write to congratulate Nana Odeneho Amponsah the Greater Accra Regional YMCA President elect and by extension all other elected officers of the Region. Even though I was away, I followed closely as the processes of the election unfolded and I must confess that it has been a great account, I equally celebrate all those who turned out especially officers of the branches for fulfilling their constitutional mandate and deepening the democratic credentials of the YMCA. It is not lost on me that, Nana Odeneho Amponsah rose from the ranks as the branch Youth Secretary of Tema YMCA, branch Youth President before becoming the branch PRO for Tema YMCA to becoming the Vice Chairman of the Tema YMCA. CEDRIC DZELU REIGNS SUPREME AT ACCRA SENIOR OPEN

The much anticipated 17th edition of the Accra Senior Open was once again hosted on its traditional soil, the clay courts of the Accra Tennis Club in Osu from the 28th of November to 7th of December 2019 which featured about 150 players in 15 different categories. At the end of the tournament, it was Cedric Dzelu from the AMTEC tennis club who was crown the new champion of Semi-Professional Singles category. The campaign to the final nearly became a dream for Cedric with a low start when Jonathan Quaye, the defending champion dismantle him at the group stages but Cedric will quickly regroup to make it pass Ahevi Dodzi with a 6-0, 6-0 silencer and a walkover from Joshua Yamoah to guarantee a place in the quarter-finals where he was drawn to meet Jonathan Quaye again, haven done his homework, Cedric pulled what appeared to be a dominating win on Quaye 7-5, 6-3 and ousting Patrick Tenkorang in the Semifinals with a 6-1, 4-6, 10-6 to book a place at the finals.    ...
