ANNOUNCING THE GHANA TENNIS HALL OF FAME AND AWARDS




Recognizing that there is abundant tennis history to celebrate legends of the game and to impress the most enthusiastic tennis fans and to inspire the next generation of players, the Tennis Foundation Ghana in collaboration with the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) is set out to organize the maiden Tennis Homecoming and Wall of fame and Awards.  

With the overall intent to honour and to celebrate those who have pushed the game of tennis in Ghana to a fever pitch since pre-independence, the foundation sees the need to erect an appropriate shrine to reflect the game’s evolution and development

The expectation is that the manifestation of this project shall grow from its humble beginning to become the earthly home of the game’s immortals in Ghana.

The Ghana Tennis Hall of fame is going to be home to hundreds of inductees and a space for tennis history and unparalleled accomplishments.

Truly the #PASTREFLECTSTHEFUTURE and on the 9th and 10th of August, 2019 we look forward to hosting a historical event with all on-board.

GTF FIRST BATCH OF STAKEHOLDER MEETING HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL

The newly elected Executives of the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) under the leadership of Mr. Isaac Aboagye Duah true to their words on Friday 1 st November 2019 held its first batch of a series of stakeholder meeting intended to feed into a four year strategic plan of the governing body. Close to 40 participants made up of Board members, representatives of players, coaches, officiating officials, wheelchair tennis and foundations attended the meeting which was undoubtedly a huge success. The forum afforded the stakeholder bodies the opportunity to review the performance of the old board and to proffer ideas and solutions to address the challenges of tennis in the country. 2ND EDITION OF HOPE PERFORMANCE TENNIS CLINIC AND CLUB TOURNAMENT NOW IN THE BOOKS

The much anticipated program on the Ghanaian tennis calendar, the Hope Performance Tennis Clinic and Club Tournament took place in the first week of September at the Accra Sports Stadium tennis courts from Wednesday the 4 th of to the 7 th of September 2019 from 8am to 4pm each day with over 600 kids from 5 regions of Ghana participating in the life changing tennis program that seeks to empower young people through the game of tennis.
