ALBERT ARTHUR MAKING GHANA PROUD AT THE ITF HIGH PERFORMANCE COACHES PROGRAM IN ZIMBABWE


Ghanaian rising tennis coach Albert Arthur is making promising debut in Zimbabwe at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) invitational coaches training program which started from the 25th of November and ending on the 7th of December 2019. Coming from the once prestigious Winneba Tennis centre to featuring for the national team at the junior and senior level, young Albert Arthur transitioned into coaching and now holds a level 2 ITF coaching certification that enables him to coach high-performance players. He is currently coaching at the ITF/CAT East Africa Training Center in Nairobi, Kenya with impressive records.

The ITF Coaches training program is an invitational program by the ITF to selected coaches who are working with advanced players, Albert has been selected due to the fact that he is currently coaching at the ITF/CAT East Africa Training Center in Kenya and has been working with high-performance players for more than a year now.

The training program which is in 6 modules is intended to equip coaches in tactics in high performance, biomechanics, physical conditioning, psychology in high performance, teaching methodology in high performance, development and planning. 

At the end of the training program, the coaches will be examined on all the modules and engage in two practical tests on two of the modules, from all indication Albert Arthur has taken this opportunity very seriously and is determined to max out the gains of the program, speaking to this portal, he revealed that the course will enable him to be upgraded to be able to work with ATP and WTA players and has undoubtedly taken his coaching career to the highest level.

Albert expressed profuse thanks to the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) and the ITF for giving him this opportunity and called on his colleagues back home to seriously give much attention and time to the coaching profession for there is enough evidence that it can take one far and can help to transform Ghana Tennis to the days where Ghana was drawn in the World Group Davis Cup Ties.

    I base in Nigeria and had the level 1 in Nigeria. Coaching kids and performance player presently. Thanks and Good one and thumbs up.
